“Twenty; Meet Incheon,” the official theme of the 2026 Incheon International Design Fair, captures in a single phrase both a historic milestone—the fair’s 20th anniversary—and the distinct identity of the city of Incheon.

In Korean, seumul (“twenty”) carries the feeling of coming of age. It stands for a fair that has grown over twenty years and now looks ahead with new maturity and the will to leap forward.

“Meet Incheon” describes how city and people, place and culture, meet and connect through design. It also means that Incheon is more than a host city—it becomes the subject of the exhibition itself.

The slogan captures both the anticipation of a fresh start at twenty and the resolve to reinterpret Incheon in the language of design, expressing the fair’s maturity and energy at once.

It also reflects the idea that design in our everyday lives always brings anticipation and excitement.
