Greetings. I am Lee Ju-ho, President of Incheon Technopark. I extend my warmest welcome to everyone joining us for the 2026 Incheon International Design Fair.
First launched in 2004, the Incheon International Design Fair now celebrates its twentieth edition. Built together over two decades by local design companies, universities, and designers, the fair has become Incheon’s signature design festival.
This year’s theme is “Twenty; Meet Incheon.” Twenty is the age of full adulthood, when one begins to stand on one’s own. For a fair that has built its strength over twenty years, it marks a resolve to take a new leap with a more mature perspective. The theme also expresses our wish to look at Incheon anew and rediscover, through the language of design, the values and identity unique to the city.
This year’s fair features an exhibition of local universities and international artists; a showcase of design companies from Incheon and Gyeonggi Province; and the Incheon Design Support Center Pavilion, presenting the city’s work in fostering and supporting industrial design. Businesses, academia, practicing designers, and designers of tomorrow come together to show where Incheon design stands today and to chart the next twenty years.
Incheon Technopark will continue to give its full support to strengthening the design competitiveness of local small and medium-sized enterprises, advancing the design ecosystem, and nurturing the next generation of designers who will lead the future. Beyond that, we will work with you to build an Incheon where design drives business innovation and enriches the everyday lives of its citizens.
Finally, I would like to express my deep gratitude to Incheon Metropolitan City for its generous support of the fair; to the Incheon Gyeonggi Design Firm Association and the Incheon Design Association for joining forces to prepare the event; and to all the participating companies, artists, and students who have taken part with such passion.
As the Incheon International Design Fair turns twenty, I hope it will become the starting point for an even greater leap—one that keeps lighting the way for the future of design in Incheon.
